One Takeaway Many Frameworks
I learn about a new AI management framework practically every day.
They are published by industry groups, corporations, academic groups, governments, standard agencies and even notable individual voices in this space.
These frameworks come in different flavours. Responsible AI, AI Safety, AI deployment, AI implementation, AI enablement, AI Risk Management, AI governance…and more, I’m sure!
Additionally, many corporations are developing their own bespoke and private enterprise AI frameworks which are often inspired and adapted from other published frameworks. Ultimately, like any business function, there is no one size-fits-all solution.
Such frameworks take different approaches in compartmentalising the various functions that underpin the use of AI at the enterprise level. They vary in how inclusively they span all related functions. Lastly, they may bring a particular lens to their approach, such as a security, data or lifecycle centric approach.
These frameworks are all making one thing very clear. There are a lot of things to get right. This also means there are a lot of ways things can go wrong!
